Micah Johnson, the Dallas gunman that killed five police officers and wounded seven others, was kicked out of the Army for stealing panties. According to one of his bunk mates Johnson was known throughout the barracks as a pervert because he was caught stealing girls’ panties. Johnson’s panty fetish caused him to return home from deployment three months earlier than scheduled to face sexual harassment charges.

According to family members Johnson had “changed” after he returned from his deployment. The family believes he suffered from PTSD related to overseas combat. However, according to numerous reports, Johnson an his Army Reserves engineering unit did not see a single moment of combat. family friend named Myrtle Booker told the Dallas Morning News:
He was withdrawn, didn’t want to talk to people anymore, didn’t believe in God anymore
Bunk mates and others that served with Johnson believe his change in personality is the result of the shame induced by his sexual misdeeds, not combat induced PTSD.
Johnson’s military lawyer, Bradford Glendening, says that a fellow service member, Anna Ma, mentioned Victoria’s Secret undergarments when she filed a sexual harassment complaint against his client. Glendening went on to say that the corporal was so concerned about his behavior that she recommended he receive mental health treatment and pursued an order of protection against Johnson.
Ma also reported several unwanted sexual advances and verbal threats.
Johnson waived his right to a military court hearing in the wake of the allegations. Despite the claims, he left the Army in April 2015 with an honorable discharge.
