At least 84 people are dead, including ten children, and another 100+ injured in Nice, France Thursday night after a 31-year-old Tunisian migrant drove a truck and plowed through a crowd of people, for over one mile, celebrating France’s Bastille Day. The truck was filled with fake arms and grenades and were not used in the attack. The terrorist did have a pistol and larger gun in the car. The killer, a 31 year-old Tunisian man and a married father of three, Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouhlel drove onto pavement and continued to drive running into a crowd of people.
Fifty people are between life and death the morning after the attack.
Bouhlel was said to have shouted “Allahu Akbar,” which means “God is great” in Arabic right before he was killed in an apparent suicide.
Local news outlets report the truck driver rammed into a large continuous crowd and continued to drive for over a full mile. The terrorist is dead, shot by police after fire was exchanged. Bouhlel exchanged fire with the officers using a 7.65 pistol.
