In his speech on the Orlando shootings, Donald Trump stated, “We need to tell the truth about radical Islam and we need to do it now.
“This is not just a national security issue, it’s a quality of life issue,” Trump said.
“The current politically correct response cripples our ability to talk and to think and to act clearly,” he stated. This, he says, will hurt our ability to fight terrorism from radical Islams.
Trump said, “we have a dysfunctional immigration system” through our current “incompetent” administration and pledged to fix this problem as president by creating a temporary ban on all Muslims from entering the country.
He said the ban would be lifted when “as a nation, we are in a position to properly and perfectly screen these people coming into our country.”
Following the Orlando attacks, Trump said “we have to address these issues head on” to fight against radical Islam. “We have no choice.”
“Many of the principles of radical Islam are incompatible with Western values and institutions,” he said. He stated that many Muslims in foreign countries support oppressive Sharia Law.
