A Navy Blue Angel jet crashed last Thursday during a practice flight in Smyrna, Tennessee killing U.S. Marine, Captain Jeff Kuss.
Kuss chose not to eject from the jet in order to steer clear of nearby apartment buildings and is considered a hero.
Kuss and the five other Navy Blue Angels were practicing for the upcoming Great Tennessee Air Show.
Kuss served in Afghanistan and was a decorated pilot, earning himself the Strike Flight Air Medal and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.
Gone but never forgotten. RIP Capt. Jeff Kuss.
