Every year, this military family comes to their hometown Fourth of July Parade to watch and enjoy the festivities. The family has held the tradition for over 25 years, but this time, the parade would be different.
At the beginning of the parade, the Color Guard marches and the family holds their hand over their hearts in respect to the military. This time, two military sons were among the Color Guard marching in the parade. The parents did not realize that their two son’s were home and marching in the Color Guard, until the two son’s walked right up to them as the rest of the Color Guard walked by. The parents thought that they were both at their respective bases.
One of the son’s is an officer in the U.S. Army while the other is an officer in the U.S. Navy. In an ironic fashion, the two son’s mother was filming the parade to send to their two son’s. As it turns out, the parade was much better than they expected.
