The aim for the exercise was to optimize coordination between headquarters and their forces as well as to train participating units and staff to conduct a combined and joint operation.
The exercises took place in Turkey’s West Anatolia Region, the gulf of Izmir, the Aegean Sea and the Doğanbey Live Fire Exercise Area.
The participants in the joint exercise were armies from several countries, even ones that are not a part of NATO. The participants included Turkey, the United States, Britain, Azerbaijan, Germany, Poland, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
The scenes come from the joint live fire exercise, EFES-2016 where observers from 79 countries came to see the exercise in action.
