Fuerzas Comando 2016 is a military exercise consisting of a skills competition between military and police Special Operations teams from the Western Hemisphere. The event is hosted by Peru May 2 – 12. Security forces from 21 countries, including the United States, are taking part in the challenging contest, which promotes military-to-military relationships, increased interoperability and improved regional security.

The 11-day event demonstrates and tests participants’ skills through special operations forces competitions, and includes a Distinguished Visitor Program focused on topics such as combating terrorism, organized crime, and illicit trafficking.
Fuerzas Comando 2016 is a unique opportunity for participating nations of the Americas to improve their special operations capabilities. This competition increases training knowledge and furthers interoperability between countries in the Western Hemisphere.
