82-Year-Old Navy Vet That Sang “Let The Bodies Hit The Floor” Invited On Stage By Drowning Pool

June 09, 2016

The 82-year-old retired Navy pilot that captured the nation’s attention with a jaw-dropping performance of Drowning Pool’s “Let the bodies hit the floor” is now being hunted down by the band. John Hetlinger made headlines by performing the band’s most popular song on a recent episode of America’s Got Talent. Drowning pool guitarist, C.J. Pierce, has made it his mission to locate the 82-year-old retiree, so he can invite Hetlinger on stage to perform with the band.

Pierce hopes Hetlinger will be able to join the band in Chicago for the Open Air Festival in July to perform an encore rendition of the now infamous karaoke performance. Pierce has stated that the band will cover Hetlinger’s travel, and more importantly, beer expenses to bring him to the festival.

If you missed John’s original performance take the time to watch him rock out in the video below, you won’t regret it!
