With all of the excitement that surrounds Memorial Day it’s easy to lose sight of the true meaning. People often find themselves distracted by barbecues, fireworks and three-day weekends. Many people find that they don’t take the time to honor fallen soldiers in the midst of the chaos that can accompany these events. Unfortunately some people can’t blame the chaos, some people simply never learned the true meaning of the somber holiday.

Do not let you children grow up to be one of those people. Take the time to explain to them the sacrifices our soldiers have made for our freedom and educate them on what they can do to show respect for these fallen men and women. Don’t know where to start?
