During his commencement speech to graduating students of the University of Mississippi, long time gun owner and experienced journalist, Tom Brokaw stated “More guns and more firearm tolerance will mean more homegrown acts of terror.”

The NBC anchor added “I believe strongly in the Second Amendment, but with that right comes the personal obligation to be on guard against the promiscuous use of guns.”
“I’m appalled by the determination of organizations and individuals to arm more people without any appreciation of the consequence of ever more lethal weapons in our midst,” Brokaw said.
In 2013, Brokaw compared the people’s failure to pass gun control to people not speaking out against racial segregation in the 1960’s. He also stated that “guns are the end game” for gun violence.
