The Sullivan Cup is a six day event that takes place at Ft. Benning, GA. It’s a mentally and physically demanding event open to U.S. Army Soldiers, U.S. Marines and some international partners. Teams are tested on their sustainment, maneuverability and gunnery skills.

Teams are given various tests and challenges they must overcome to be crowned “Best Tank Crew”. The first day is dedicated to testing the physical abilities of each crew. The second, third and fourth days test the proficiency of the crew in their mounted maneuvers and mastery of tank crew fundamentals such as their ability to Shoot, move and communicate effectively in both an offensive and defensive posture.

Day five is a fan favorite. It’s an entire day dedicated to a “Shoot-Off”. The shoot-off is exactly what it sounds like. Crews demonstrate their accuracy and abilities to fire quickly and accurately. The competition allows tank crews a chance to practice their skills in a competitive setting while allowing spectators to see their loved ones in action.

The winner of the 2016 Sullivan Cup Competition:
1-252 AR, 30th ABCT – NCARNG – “Old Hickory!”
