The situation between Turkey and the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) continues to heat up. In addition of fighting ISIS and dealing with the immigration crisis that blankets the continent, these two US allies are immersed in a political and military conflict that threatens to divert their main attention and resources from the fight against extremism.
The following video shows Turkish police forces conducting recent combat operations in tight alleyways of a city in Turkey’s Şırnak province against Kurdish PKK forces. Without a truce or ceasefire in the horizon, looks like ISIS will be the winner in this conflict.
