Chinese military ambitions have increased greatly in recent years. As tensions surrounding the South China Sea keeps rising, China continues to build up their military apparatus – even placing fighter jets on man-made islands.

Emboldened and empowered by their rising, but now faltering economy, China has taken the next step to project military might by building up their fleet of aircraft carriers. Here is a snapshot of their projected capabilities.
China has always taken the long-view and while their fleet right now isn’t much of a fleet they are looking 20, 30, 70 years down the road.
