Congressman Trey Gowdy (R-SC) is the Chairman of the House Select Committee on Benghazi and an outspoken critic of not only how poorly the lead-up to the attack was, but how poor the response has been.

On September 11th, 2012 the American consulate in Benghazi, Libya was overrun by terrorists, after months of requests for fortification and numerous security requests from the State Department.
