UPDATE 2: According to Capitol Police, the suspect entered the visitors center with a firearm. He was confronted by an officer and the suspect pointed his weapon at them. The cop then fired at the suspect, non-lethally and the suspect was then apprehended.
There was one shot fired, and no police officer was injured

News sources are reporting that gunfire rang out at the U.S. Capitol Visitors Center Monday afternoon causing all Hill offices and the White House to go into lockdown. Reports also say that a gunman is down.
