Gyulchekhra Bobokulova, a 38 year old nanny from Uzbekistan, killed a 4 year old girl named Nastya, burned down the family’s home and paraded the severed head around a Moscow metro.
According to LifeNews, a Russian Tabloid site, the woman waited for the parents to leave the apartment before committing the horrible act for reasons that have yet to be established.
While in a Moscow metro station, a police officer asked her for identification. She then pulled out the severed head and began saying she was going to blow herself up. She also stated she was a terrorist and shouted “Allahu Akhbar!” numerous times.
Here is how a witness named Polina Nikolskaya, describes the events:
“I was on my way to the metro station from home. She was standing near the metro entrance and caught my attention because she was screaming Allahu Akbar. I saw that she had a bloodied head in her arms, but I thought it was not real. People in the crowd said it was real.”
In the following video, you can see Bobokulova carrying around the head and reportedly saying “I am a terrorist, I want your death.” She also is said to have rambled about end times leading experts to believe this woman was deranged and mentally unstable.
Below is the shocking footage captured by an onlooker. This video may be disturbing to some audiences:
Russia have been engaged in major offensives in Syria both against ISIS and fighting off rebels seeking to take down Bashar al-Assad. This has sparked high tensions in Russia especially the Muslim community.
Here is how the Guardian phrased the situation:
Fears of terrorist attacks have been running high since several Islamic extremist groups began threatening Russia over President Vladimir Putin’s bombing campaign targeting groups fighting the Syrian government. In October, a bomb brought down an A321 passenger plane over Egypt that was carrying mainly Russian tourists, killing 224 people.
Also in October, law enforcement detained up to 20 supporters of the Islamic group Hizb ut-Tahrir. The FSB said it had found an ammonium nitrate explosive device in one flat and that some suspects had trained with Islamic State. This month, the FSB said it had discovered an explosives laboratory and detained seven people in Yekaterinburg on suspicion of plotting terrorist attacks in Moscow, St Petersburg and the Ural region.
It’s unclear how this attack will effect the situation but many experts fear a backlash may be coming. Do you think acts like this come to America? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
