According to a lawmaker in South Korea that has been briefed on the matter by the National Intelligence Service (NIS), North Korea is plotting terror attacks against their southern neighbor.

Saenuri Party member, Lee Chul-woo told CNN:
“North Korea’s terrorist attack could be in the form of causing harms to anti-North Korean activists, North Korean defectors or government officials.”
The NIS report included threats of cyber attacks as well as physical attacks on “subways, shopping malls, exhibition centers, power plants.”
This comes on the heels of “bone numbing” retribution by the South against the North’s satellite and missile launches as well as the reported hydrogen bomb test. Efforts began last week when South Korea shut down power and electricity to a factory in the North.
Legislation is now being debated in South Korea as to how to counteract these acts.
