The Lockheed Martin KC-130j is the basic designation for a family of the extended-range tanker version of the C-130 Hercules transport aircraft modified for aerial refueling. Now, the Marine Corps has another idea.
[revad1]
The Harvest HAWK (Hercules Airborne Weapons Kit) is a modular weapons/sensor kit designed for the KC-130J aircraft, consisting of a fire-control console located in the aircraft’s cargo compartment, an AN/AAQ-30 target sight system (TTS) with infrared, electro-optic sensors, and a TV camera. Munitions consist of a launcher for 4 HELLFIRE missiles and a 10-shot Griffin missile launcher in the cargo compartment. That’s what I’d call a deadly makeover!
