Monday, on the 1400 block of Chase Street in San Jacinto, California, 92 year old World War II vet Joe Milspa heard a noise at his home that made him reach for his pistol – and thank God he did!
[revad1]
It was broad day light, 11am, when Milspa noticed an intruder carrying an ax bust out his back window in an attempt to crawl in.
Milspa, who lives alone, was not frightened in the least and fired one shot at the thief who was not hit but took off running, leaving behind the ax and several other items.
When asked about the situation Milspa gave a legendary answer:
“I could have shot him right in the head between the eyes. But I didn’t want to do that. I would have been in trouble.”
