Weeping for the victims of a mass shooting is one thing, doing so to sell your infringement on a constitutional right is another.

This is exactly what happened yesterday as President Obama announced his plan to stop gun violence by taking unconstitutional measures that will take guns out of the hands of law abiding citizens.
Recollections of the tragedy at Sandy Hook could cause anyone to weep in sadness, there is no doubt. But in what was essentially a sales pitch to the American people on subverting Congress, something seemed off.
