Harney County, Oregon Fire Marshall Chris Briels abruptly retired after he made a startling discovery about the FBI’s involvement in the Oregon militia saga.

Briels claim that reports had surfaced that militia members had been harassing people around town – an bizarre thing to happen given that the militia has stayed confined to the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge.
He also notices suspicious men in plain clothes milling about a local armory whom he found out were FBI agents.
When he took the allegations that the FBI were the ones harassing the people in town and asked Judge Steve Grasty about an undercover operation, he was told to back off.
Briels immediately held the following press conference in which he says he can’t work for a government he no longer believes in:
