The federal authorities engaged in a deadly firefight outside the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge and initiated a “containment” of the area. This lead to the death of militia spokesperson LaVoy Finicum and arrest of founder Ammon Bundy.

It’s unclear what sparked the gunfire but at a traffic stop outside the refuge but already both sides are at odds as the arrested militia members are being charged with federal felony charges of conspiracy to impede officers of the United States from discharging their official duties through the use of force, intimidation or threats.
Militia members and witnesses say that Finicum who was shot and killed was doing quite the opposite and cooperating fully.
Now the authorities have issued a “containment of the area:
Members of the militia remain in the compound and are ready to sacrifice their lives for the cause according to a reporter who spoke to some of the members.
The one casualty of the firefight prophetically said that he would be willing to die for the cause just days before:
