A 28 year old man was arrested by French police on Thursday as he check into Hotel New York at Euro Disney in Paris.

The man is said to have triggered metal detectors because he was carrying two handguns in a briefcase, one of which was an automatic. Additionally, they found a knife in a rucksack, extra ammo and a copy of the Koran in one of his bags.
The suspect was also with a female companion whom French authorities are currently looking for.
The suspects car was quickly surrounded by a bomb team whom made sure there was no threat. The man made no attempt to resist arrest.
Jean-Luc Marx, Prefect of the district in which Euro Disney is located, said: “
“I want to underline that the Disney security services and police reacted immediately, and made sure the man was taken out of harm’s way, if indeed he ever intended to harm anyone…We don’t know at this stage.”

Bomb disposal experts surrounded a car after the weapons were detected by a metal detector machine at the entrance to a hotel at the amusement park, 20 miles east of the French capital.
The 28-year-old man, who was not known to security services, was stopped by Disney staff who found the weapons, which included an automatic handgun, hidden in his suitcase at about noon.
