On one of the most special days of her life, she was resigned to celebrate her “happily every after” without her brother and best friend in attendance. It was her wedding day, but her brother, best friend, and hero was away fighting his country’s battles.

They were one of those beautiful, tight-knitted family. They have grown up to become very close as siblings, and she understood that to be a Marine sometimes means to miss important dates such as this. But nothing gets in the way of a Marine and his love for his little sister.
