Man With Concealed Carry Permit In Chicago Stops Mass Shooting

Back in April on the 2900 block of North Milwaukee Avenue in Logan Square in Chicago, an Uber driver saw Everardo Custodio, 22, fire into a crowd. Luckily, he was carrying.

Luckily this driver was authorized to carry a concealed weapon and shot Custodio several times. When authorities arrived Custodio was on the ground bleeding.

When we hear of mass shootings, it’s always a call for less guns, yet when this happens where is the call for more legal gun ownership?

The charges were dropped for the Uber driver and he is now being hailed a rightful hero.

Authorities say no charges will be filed against an Uber driver who shot and wounded a gunman who opened fire on a crowd of people in Logan Square over the weekend.

The driver had a concealed-carry permit and acted in the defense of himself and others, Assistant State’s Attorney Barry Quinn said in court Sunday.

A group of people had been walking in front of the driver around 11:50 p.m. Friday in the 2900 block of North Milwaukee Avenue when Everardo Custodio, 22, began firing into the crowd, Quinn said.
