His name is Abu Azrael aka “The Angel Of Death”, commander of the Kataib al-Imam Ali, an Iraqi Shi’a militia group and Iranian proxy army. He is being called the “Iraqi Rambo” in his war against ISIS.
His background is hazy, he claims he fought against American troops during the Iraq war as part of another militia but no one can verify that.

But what can be verified is he is a bonafide star in Iraq along with his catchphrase “illa tahin!” meaning, turn to powder, or pulverize.
He claims to be tolerant, willing to fight along with people from any background imaginable but many dispute this. He also is a web sensation. Although his many photos abusing corpses of ISIS fighters has landed him a massive bounty on his head.
