This last week has been filled with some pretty horrible and disheartening news, but what went unnoticed was something truly incredible in Indianapolis.

Billy C. Aldridge passed away at a local nursing home at the age of 80. He was a Marine Corps veteran and upon his passing, no one could find records of any remaining family.
To give this man the burial he deserved Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services, Private Label Caskets, Memorial Park Cemetery and Indianapolis Police Escort worked together to make sure he was laid to rest with dignity.
But the most amazing part was the crowds that came to say goodbye to a man they never met.
“He served our country and gave us the freedoms that we have and the privileges that we have today,” said Patrice Gehring who attended the funeral.
