Honduran authorities have arrested five Syrians attempting to enter the U.S. with stolen passports, said a spokesperson in Tegucigalpa.

The stolen passports were said to be Greek and the five had just come in from Costa Rica, reportedly attempting to enter the U.S. by land via Mexico.
According to reports these Syrians have no connection with the Paris attacks and officials have yet to say whether or not they were a threat.

Police in Honduras caught five Syrians who were trying to make their way to the United States with stolen and doctored passports, a police spokesman in Tegucigalpa told Reuters Wednesday.
The Syrians had no apparent link to the attackers in Paris, police said. The stolen passports were reportedly Greek.
