From the Daily Mail:
Russian and British officials engaged in an extraordinary diplomatic spat on Twitter yesterday over Vladimir Putin’s bombing of Syria as the war there spiralled further out of control.
The online clash came as the White House warned that Russian involvement in Syria risked making the conflict ‘indefinite’ and Iranian troops began a ground offensive in support of the country’s dictator president Bashar al-Assad.
The Russian Embassy in London taunted Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond from its official Twitter feed by sending him a photograph of one their warplanes firing a missile.
