What a great idea! A dentist office in Nashville, TN named Sodgrass-Hill is starting up their annual candy buyback competition in benefit of schools and troops.

Here’s how it works in the words of Dr. David Snodgrass:
“We’ve got the schools in competition with one another. The children are bringing the candy to the schools and the schools are bringing it in. And we’re actually paying the schools for the amount of candy that the children collect so the schools are getting money for the candy. We’re taking that candy then and sending it to the troops overseas with a great organization called Operation Gratitude.”
Last year they collected 2,300 pounds of candy and this year are aiming for 4,000 – 6,000!
Let’s hope they hit their goal!
