Operation Desert Storm veteran Michael Hammons was walking through the parking lot of a shopping center in Athens, GA when he noticed a dog in distress locked inside a hot car.
Other shopper had called authorities but noticing the state the dog was in Hammons didn’t wait and smashed the window to free the dog.

The owner of the car was NOT happy and demanded he be arrested, which he was! Outrage over the arrest ensued and Hammons says he has no regrets.
