Several anti-ISIS groups are popping up in Mosul, Iraq, assassinating ISIS troops and striking when they least expect!
They’ve existed since ISIS took over the city but now they are getting notoriety. They’re names are: the Brigades of Mosul, the Revenge of Nineveh, the Lions of Nineveh, and the Brigades for the Liberation of Mosul.
Mostly they strike at night, using sniper rifles and roadside bombs to derail the terror group. They’ve become so prevalent that ISIS has had to change their tactics.
Their identities are secret and they take great pains to stay under the radar. Do you think more people will join their ranks? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
From Business Insider:
Their identities are secret. They work after sundown, preferring deserted areas of the city. No one knows where they will strike next. They target different neighborhoods each time.
Their mission is simple: to kill Islamic State militants.
Their targets never vary, but their methods do. Sometimes they use snipers to take out a militant. Sometimes they plant roadside bombs and blow up cars. Sometimes they stab their victims, sometimes strangle them.
