The threat from terrorists within the U.S. has increased dramatically in the last 5 years according to the House of Representatives Homeland Security Committee.
Committee chairman Rep. Michael McCaul said:
“The Islamist terror threat in the US homeland has escalated dramatically this year and remains high, There have been more US-based jihadist terror cases in 2015 than in any full year since [September 11, 2001],”
This year the number of cases against homeland terror sits at 124, up drastically from the 38 in 2010.
