Eddie Shaw is a 96 year old British World War II vet who came under tank fire while fighting in Africa. 2 years ago he lost his wife and moved to be closer to his son.
His son Peter liked to go to his Dad’s house at least once a week and take a push his dad around town in his standard fold up wheelchair. But after a while Peter got fed up with the chair’s inability to navigate rougher terrain. That’s when he had a great idea: to build his dad a badass motorized tank wheelchair!

Using an old motorized wheelbarrow, a van seat, caterpillar tracks and an attached engine he was able to create “the tank.” Check it out in action below!
