Bill Gale served in Patton’s 3rd Army during WWII and is now 90 years old. Back in those days his days were kept bright by the love of a girl back home named Bernadine. He met her while on furlough and while she was in high school.

They wrote back and forth to each other during his service, letters serving as long-distance dates.
Bernadine passed in 2010 and the letters he sent her appeared to have been lost over the years, until one woman found a letter inside a record sleeve she picked up at a thrift store. Now that letter is back in the hands of Bill’s family. Watch this heartwarming story here:
