For those of you who don’t remember Sgt. Tahmooressi was a Marine vet and American hero who wallowed in a Mexican prison for well over 200 days after accidentally crossing the Mexican border with a firearm that was legal in the U.S. but not in Mexico.
The story made national headlines, in large part due to the weak response by President Obama and his administration to try and get the war hero out of prison.

Thanks to the general public however, pressure mounted and Tahmooressi was released back to his family in the U.S.
Much has been made on this story, but now a new tidbit is emerging: Donald Trump quietly gave Tahmooressi money to help him kickstart his life after he returned home.
