Umm Sayyaf was captured in Syria recently in a raid that killed her husband who was serving as “oil minister” to ISIS.
Since her capture Umm has cooperated fully with authorities and told about the brutal conditions women face within ISIS. Umm helped run the sex slave ring within ISIS and said that as many as 50 new women come in a day from all over the world – most notably from the UK, France and Germany.
Umm was deemed a ‘senior official’ within ISIS but since she is a woman, was never able to rise into the rankings of ISIS.
Recently women from ISIS have defected or worked to help keep foreign women away from the organization.
‘The caliphate is not what you think it is. Women are whipped, sold and stoned. Corpses are on display publicly for weeks.’ said one former sex slave, who goes by the alias Umm Asma.
One of the few females to reach high command within the Islamic State terror group has revealed the inner working of the extremists’ ‘women’s network’ after being captured by the U.S. military.
Umm Sayyaf was detained by American special forces during a raid in the ISIS-held city of Deir Ezzor in May during which her husband Abu Sayaff was killed and his laptops and phones seized.
Senior defence experts have revealed that Umm Sayyaf has been cooperating with American officials since her capturing and has provided the names and communication details of several senior ISIS commanders, as well as broader operational details.
