Outlandish Anti-Second Amendment Sandy Hook Lawsuit Dismissed

October 18, 2016

The shooter responsible for the Sandy Hook mass shooting, that killed 26 innocent people, stole the fire arm before going on his crime spree. The AR-15 was legally manufactured by Bushmaster, which is owned by Remington Arms. It was legally sold and legally registered to Nancy Lanza, the shooter’s mother. The families of the Sandy Hook victims filed a lawsuit against the gun manufacturer, thankfully the Connecticut Superior Court Judge Barbara Bellis struck down the Sandy Hook families’ lawsuit.

Hillary Clinton’s responded to the dismissal of the lawsuit by stating, “it’s incomprehensible” which reaffirmed her determination to change laws so that crime victims can sue gun manufacturers. Clinton tweeted: ‘It’s incomprehensible that our laws would protect gun makers over Sandy Hook families. We need to fix this.”

Adam Lanza, the Sandy Hook shooter, was planning his attack when he stole the AR-15 along with other guns from his sleeping mother. He took the guns and before he left for his role in the Sandy Hook terror spree, he shot and killed his sleeping mother. He then went to Sandy Hook Elementary on December 14, 2012, where he proceeded to shoot and kill 26 innocent people.

The families’ lawsuit sought an exemption through a claim of “negligent entrustment,” arguing the maker knowingly marketed and sold the Bushmaster AR-15 rifle to civilians despite knowing it posed a risk when used outside “highly regulated institutions” such as law enforcement or the military.

Judge Bellis found the suit to be the frivolous type from which gun manufacturers are shielded by the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act (PLCAA). She chose to dismiss the case. Clinton finds it “incomprehensible” that Remington Arms was protected from a suit under such conditions. Joshua Koskoff, an attorney for the families, said that his clients plan to appeal.

At the December 29, 2015, New Hampshire town hall, Clinton voiced that she wants crime victims to be able to sue gun manufacturers for gun crime, along with gun sellers. Even Bernie Sanders warned the US people of how Clinton’s gun control proposals would end gun manufacturing in America if ever enacted.
