Secretary of Homeland Security Elaine Duke announced the DHS Leadership Year on Oct. 1, a year-long effort to promote a culture of leadership excellence and highlight the importance of leadership at all levels. As part of the initiative, the Office of Leadership (CG-128) will highlight leadership opportunities available, give the fleet tools and resources to support leaders/supervisors in effectively managing performance and continue the leadership dialogue.
There are many enlisted leadership course opportunities, both within the Coast Guard and with our Department of Defense partners.
Senior Chief Petty Officer Chris Wilson, the enlisted leadership program manager, will be discussing the available enlisted leadership opportunities and explaining some recent changes and associated business rules for the next fiscal year during the next leadership Learning Café session on Sept. 11. The session will be live, and it will be no longer than 30 minutes. You can access the session from your standard workstation by following the instructions below. We will also have a question and answer segment as part of the session.
We recognize that our reserve members are a great part of the Coast Guard family, and we want to present all the opportunities available to you!
If you can’t make the presentation, don’t worry. It will be recorded and posted on the Office of Leadership (CG-12C) website.
