This ALCOAST solicits submissions for the LATINA Style 2018 Distinguished Military Service Award recognizing women who through their service have enhanced the role of Latinas in the U.S. Coast Guard. The LATINA Style Distinguished Military Service Award is open to CG active duty, reserve and civilian personnel. The performance period for award consideration is August 2017 to July 2018. All award winners will be recognized during the 15th Annual
National LATINA Symposium on 6 September 2018 in Washington, DC.
Today Admiral Schultz released his Guiding Principles. In concert with these principles, your senior leadership team is initiating the following actions. Designed to emphasize the Commandant’s priorities, these actions will contribute to ensuring we are a Ready, Relevant, and Responsive Coast Guard.
CG Personnel Service Center has completed the annual review of calendar year 2017 OES, with input from Active Duty Promotion List and Inactive Duty Promotion List Promotion Year 2017 selection boards, panels, assignment officers, rating chain members and review of over 8,900 officer evaluation reports (OER).
I am pleased to announce and congratulate the Charleston Area Maritime Security Committee as the recipient of the 2017 Area Maritime Security Committee of the Year Award. The award selection panel reviewed 43 AMSC annual reports and identified the Charleston AMSC for its exceptional achievements and contributions in safeguarding the Marine Transportation System (MTS), including port areas, adjacent waterways, coastal/shoreside areas, waterfront facilities, and other maritime critical infrastructure.
