Congratulations to Damage Controlman First Class Petty Officer Steven Mensen, the 2017 GEICO Military Service Award winner for the Coast Guard. GEICO annually pays tribute to an active duty service member from each branch of the armed services, and one drilling reserve enlisted member from all the services.
On March 26, 2018, we celebrate Ombudsman Appreciation Day, to recognize the critical link ombudsmen provide between command leadership and families. Commands are encouraged to host appropriate functions that express gratitude and appreciation for the service ombudsmen provide to Coast Guard personnel and their families.

The official financial relief organization for the Coast Guard, CGMA is poised and ready to respond to financial needs within the Coast Guard family. The Annual Officer Women Leadership Symposium (OWLS), organized by the non-profit organization Academy Women, will be held April 24-26, 2018 at the Women in Military Service for America (WIMSA) Memorial in Arlington, VA.
