DA Request: # 10004548 – ARCTIC & POLAR IMP & COORD
High visibility, fast paced position reports to the Coast Guard’s senior arctic policy advisor (in CG-5PW, marine transportation systems directorate).
Duties include: (1) Assisting in the update of the Coast Guard’s arctic strategy and implementation plan – including classified annex. (2) Developing a communication plan upon publishing, and overseeing development a framework of measuring the impacts of Coast Guard actions/activities in the Arctic. (3) Represent the Coast Guard in inter-agency and other venues and events. (4) Develop talking points for senior leadership and be responsive to answering internal and external questions. (5) Opportunity for travel, including to the Arctic.

The overall goal of this work is improve delivery of military human relations services and products across the Coast Guard with savings to the Coast Guard organization.
Duties include: coordinating and managing human capital management (HCM) projects aimed at standardizing military HR processes across the Coast Guard. Required competencies include: (1) Project management support (2) communications (3) senior leadership/stakeholder/team leader engagement (4) change management to support and facilitate priority changes to CG-1 sponsored capabilities.

The Coast Guard historian’s office in Washington is looking for a SN-PO1 able to handle delicate artifacts, documents and to assist with updates to the historian’s office website.
Duties include: Provide content management and site administration for the Coast Guard historian’s public Office. (1) Communications (2) Use the government web design platform, American Forces Public Information Management System (AFPIMS), to update public facing website. (3) Microsoft Office Suite and Apple/Mac (4) Ability to operate high-resolution scanning/print devices.
Training for AFPIMS will be provided.
