VIDEO: Nikki Haley at UN made ‘burn book’ to show Trump who was getting US money but voting against it

Former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley recently spoke publicly about a strategy book she and her team had put together at the U.N. in order to identify those countries that would happily take foreign aid from the U.S., but then turn around and vote against America.

“This vote inspired me and my team at the U.S. Mission to put together a strategy book that listed how often each country voted with us and how often each country voted against us,” she said at the June event in Iowa. “And we compared that to how much foreign aid we were giving each of those countries.”

Haley was speaking at a campaign event for Iowa Sen. Joni Ernst, who launched her re-election campaign at the 5th annual Roast and Ride at the Central Iowa Expo grounds.

“It was really stunning,” Haley continued. “Country after country works against us at the U.N., then they turned around to us with their hands out asking for foreign aid.”

Haley said Pakistan was a prime example of this.

“We were giving Pakistan a billion dollars a year for their military,” she pointed out. “They would vote against us at the U.N. constantly. But worse than that, they were harboring terrorists that were trying to kill our soldiers. So we ended that, and Pakistan doesn’t get any money anymore.”

“The [Trump] administration is now, I’m proud to say, is reviewing every foreign aid program to make sure we are helping our friends and not our enemies,” Haley said.

Haley, who served as U.S. Ambassador from 2017 until the end of last year when she resigned, formerly served as South Carolina governor from 2011 to 2017. She was appointed U.S. Ambassador by President Donald Trump.

The former ambassador also described her time at the U.N.

“Every day at the U.N. felt like I had to put on body armor. I knew there would be a fight, but I didn’t know which country I was fighting that day,” she said, pointing out that she “wanted every country to know we were taking names.”

“The U.N. bureaucrats didn’t know what to make of that. We needed to have the backs of our allies and we expected our allies to have our backs,” Haley noted.

The video clip was released by Stand For America, an organization founded by Haley and dedicated to promoting freedom at home and strength abroad.

Stand for America is an advocacy group that promotes public policies that strengthen America’s economy, culture and national security, according to its website.

“We will help every American achieve the American Dream through the protection of their security, interests, and values,” Stand for America says. “Well-informed and active citizens are essential to keeping our country safe and strong. Stand for America will provide information to grassroots Americans, to highlight the dangers and the opportunities we face here at home and overseas. Stand for America will advocate the policies that strengthen our country at all levels of government and in the broader media and culture.”
