There was a formal swearing-in held Wednesday for Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, and President Trump participated in the ceremony.
Pompeo was confirmed last month by the Senate as the nation’s 70th Secretary of State. President Trump had nominated Pompeo last month after he fired then-Secretary of State Rex Tillerson.
The Secretary of State is a former congressman who graduated first in his class from West Point, and he has a Harvard law degree.
He also recently had a secret meeting with North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un. Photos from their meeting were recently released.
