It seems like every gun manufacturer has a model or two set as their budget-priced product. Attempting to reach every type of income level is smart for business, along with allowing opportunities for budget-minded people to arm themselves. The fact that the firearm industry is suffering from what has been dubbed the “Trump Slump” means that firearm sales are down due to a more relaxed government in regards to restrictions.
The bottom line is – guns, ammo and gear are selling for less money. Let’s take a look at Ruger firearms. They recently introduced three new firearms that are all budget-priced. These are not low-grade guns. They are, in fact, quality-made firearms that are budget priced.
I recently reviewed the new Ruger Security-9. That pistol has an MSRP of $379, but it is easily attained for an average budget price of $275. That is an incredible price for a pistol that offers the same features that are equipped with their higher-end pistols.
Kahr Arms is no different. Earlier in the summer they introduced the new “S” series of pistols. The ST9 and S9 have similar specs as their “C” series but offer more features that shooters want with their handguns. The result means much lower prices for their “C” series of handguns. The very handguns that previously sold for the upper $300s are now selling in the mid $200s. Who could have predicted it?
I decided to round up the most quality-made budget 9mm handguns and run a video compilation. The guns featured in this “Best Of” list are pistols that I have experience with or a deep understanding of their quality. These are handguns that cost under $300 and yet offer the shooter a lot of gun for the money. I state in the beginning of the video that these budget guns are not all created equal, but each of them fills a role with today’s shooters.
Watch the video and let us know which of these you like and have experience with, and which guns you would have liked to see on the list.
