American Legacy Center, a nonprofit issue advocacy organization, recently released a video ad campaign titled “The Fight for Our Sovereignty Is Now,” in support of the Trump Administration’s policies on the border wall, sanctuary cities and illegal immigration.
Bernard Kerik, the New York City Police Commissioner who served from 2000 to 2001 during 9/11, is featured in the video, and he reflected on his experiences that day and how it shaped his opinions moving forward.
Kerik said that on 9/11, when coming into work that morning, the planes struck the Twin Towers and the police had to save as many lives as possible while also helping ensure the safety of millions of people in the city.
“In the aftermath of 9/11, there were many lessons learned,” Kerik said. “The enemy we face today, they are like chameleons. They can blend into your communities.”
“We finally have the chance to secure our border, hold outlaw mayors of sanctuary cities accountable, and put an end to politically correct immigration policies like the diversity lottery which are being exploited by terrorists to kill and injure Americans,” Kerik said in an American Legacy Center release. “If the looming immigration deal doesn’t definitively solve most of these issues, it should be defeated.”
American Legacy Center has nearly 1 million members nationwide, and it develops and manages multimedia advocacy projects to influence the national narrative around the pressing issues today.
