AMN Video: SEALkids do a world of good helping children of Navy SEALS

August 25, 2017

SEALkids is an organization that identifies and provides educational assessments, specialized therapies, academic support and enrichment services for the children of Naval Special Warfare.

NSWKids, Inc., was granted 501(c)(3) status, establishing SEALkids, Inc., in 2012 in order to provide “the best educational and enrichment resources to the children of Naval Special Warfare.”

SEALkids was created after the Extortion 17 tragedy in 2011, when a rocket-propelled grenade fired by Taliban forces in the Tangi Valley of Wardak Province, Afghanistan, struck a a United States Boeing CH-47 Chinook helicopter and claimed the lives of 17 Navy SEALs.

As a result, two children from the Navy SEAL community helped create SEALkids, an organization that helps children of that same community reach their full potential.

SEALkids was recently featured at the ADS Warrior East Expo in Virginia Beach.

ADS, Inc., is a company that provides equipment, procurement and support solutions to the defense, military and law enforcement markets.

The Expo is intended to bring customers and companies together to be able to “touch, try and train,” and the event is described as the “equal sign” between consumers and products. There are also opportunities to take educational courses during the Expo.
