January 03, 2017

After being shot during a November manhunt for a wanted felon in Boise, Idaho, Cpl. Kevin Holtry has released statements revealing his paralysis from the waist down. Holtry also revealed that his left leg will need to be amputated above the knee.

Holtry was conducting a yard-to-yard search near Boise’s Central Rim neighborhood for recently released felon Marco Romero with the department’s Special Operations unit. Romero had recently opened fire at party and was considered armed and dangerous. When they found Romero hiding amongst trash cans, he opened fire.
