Schwarzenegger Tells Americans To “Stop Whining” & Support Trump

December 15, 2016

On Wednesday, Arnold Schwarzenegger appeared on NBC’s morning show, Today, and told Americans to “stop whining” about Donald Trump being elected and urged the nation to support him.

“Now he’s elected, and now it is very important that we all support the president, and that we all come together and we stop whining and it becomes one nation,” the former California governor told Matt Lauer.

“As Obama said years ago,” he continued, “it’s not blue states, and red states, it’s the United States.”

When someone is elected, you get 100 percent behind and you help them,” he said, adding that “that’s the effort that we all have to make.”

“I’m 100% behind him, and I want to do everything that I can to help,” he said, continuing by saying he’s hoping to help shape Trump’s environmental policies.

Matt Lauer asked Schwarzenegger about his lack of support shown towards Trump before the election

Being the man taking over the boss role on NBC’s The Apprentice, Schwarzenegger weighed in on Trump’s continued involvement with the show he co-created and hosted for over a decade.

“I think it’s perfectly fine that he has executive producer credit because he created the show with Mark Burnett together, so why should his credit go?” Schwarzenegger said. “He made it very clear that he has no interest in being involved. It is now my show; I’m the host; I’m the new boss; and I’m going to run this show.”

Schwarzenegger joked about changing the show’s famous catchphrase “you’re fired” to “you’re terminated.”
