The AH-64 Apache Helicopter is the most effective attack helicopters in the world.

They entered the fleet of the U.S. Army rotary wing aircraft in 1984, seeing combat for the first time in 1989. It’s considered to be the most advanced combat assault helicopter in the world.

The McDonnell Douglas developed twin-engine attack Apache helicopter has been exported to Egypt, Greece, Israel, the Netherlands, Japan, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the UK; making the AH-64D Apache one of the most sought-after rotary wing aircraft ever created.

It’s estimated that more than 1,800 units of the technologically advanced attack helicopter have been dispatched between domestic and international orders.

We can say that this badboy is one heck of an attack dog. You don’t want it see coming over the horizon. The video below lets you see it taking out terrorists from the sky. As an added bonus you can even take a look under its hood.

It has a 30mm M230 chain gun located under the fuselage capable of a rate of fire of 625 rounds a minute and it’s equipped with AGM-114D Longbow Hellfire air-to-surface missiles. This missile has a millimetre wave seeker which allows it to perform in full fire and forget mode at a range of up to 12km.
